A Magna Cum Laude graduate of Emory University, Dr. Selem expanded his education and earned his medical degree from Ponce School of Medicine. Following extensive training at the University of Texas in Houston’s ophthalmology residency program, he received specialty training for eyelid and facial plastic surgery as well as training in the most advanced, minimally invasive techniques for liposuction under Dr. Roger Bassin. Bassin Center for Plastic Surgery is a pioneer in the constantly growing and improving fields of liposuction and facial plastic surgery. Dr. Selem is also accomplished in the “invisible incision” techniques, one of the many skills he adopted from his extensive preceptorship under Dr. Bassin.
